The Role:
You will be involved in managing complex projects across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on renewable energy, infrastructure and sustainable power projects. This will include close collaboration with clients, internal technical teams, contractors, suppliers, communities and other key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
The role requires someone who can combine strong technical understanding with excellent project leadership, communication and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing detailed project execution plans
- Managing the full project lifecycle from planning through to delivery
- Coordinating technical activities across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Working closely with clients to achieve project objectives
- Ensuring compliance with design standards, legal regulations, environmental requirements and permits
- Identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with government bodies, communities, suppliers, contractors and project teams
- Driving quality control measures to meet project performance objectives
- Overseeing project progress and reporting to senior management and stakeholders
- Applying technical knowledge within the energy and infrastructure sectors
- Supporting best-practice project delivery by leveraging internal knowledge networks
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Master’s degree would be advantageous
- Professional Engineer registration with ECSA is required
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Energy Manager, SACPCMP registration or similar would be advantageous
- Strong project management experience within energy and/or infrastructure
- Experience in the renewable energy sector, including wind, solar or other sustainable power projects
- Solid understanding of construction processes and project delivery
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing skills
- Good understanding of risk management, compliance, quality assurance and reporting
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
