Overall Responsibility
The Senior Software Developer will analyse user requirements, design, develop, test and implement software solutions, support system integration with health logistics platforms, maintain and enhance existing systems, provide technical support and troubleshooting, ensure quality and best practices, and supervise and develop Software Developers and the Business Analyst.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Five (5) years’ professional experience in software development or application programming, including designing, developing, testing and maintaining applications.
Proven experience with development tools, frameworks and languages such as .Net – C#, JAVA Script, Python, PHP, Angular, PHP SQL or equivalent; web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript); version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies; and familiarity with databases, APIs and web services integration.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology / Information Systems or Computer Sciences.
Certifications in software development, cloud services (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) or agile methodologies.
Seven (7) years’ professional experience in software development, including building and integrating management information systems with health logistics platforms.
Prior experience with USG-funded projects or health supply chain systems (e.g., eLMIS, SmartCare Pro, DHIS2) preferred.
Working knowledge of cloud services and secure coding practices.
Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks, ideally one or more of Ember, Angular, React, Node, Backbone, JQuery or similar.
