Junior Inventory Administrator

Purpose of the Role:  To provide administrative and inventory support by maintaining accurate stock records, assisting with stock control processes, supporting stock takes, and ensuring the integrity of inventory data while contributing to the successful implementation and maintenance of inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock control systems
• Assisting with regular stock takes and inventory reconciliations
• Monitoring stock levels and replenishing inventory in accordance with operational requirements
• Processing stock purchases, transfers and inventory adjustments
• Maintaining purchase records and pricing information
• Preparing and organising source documentation for data capturing
• Verifying the accuracy and completeness of information prior to data entry
• Capturing inventory data accurately into designated systems
• Identifying and correcting data discrepancies in consultation with management
• Updating, maintaining and deleting inventory records where required
• Reviewing completed work to ensure accuracy and data integrity
• Organising and maintaining electronic inventory records while ensuring confidentiality and data security
• Assisting with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of inventory management systems
• Providing general administrative support to management as required

• Matric
• Previous administrative or stock control experience within a 5-star hotel or similar hospitality environment
• Good working knowledge of My Inventory or a similar inventory management system
• Computer literate with accurate data capturing skills
• Strong numerical ability and excellent attention to detail
• Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Hardworking, reliable and dedicated
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and energetic
• Positive attitude with the ability to work well within a team
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure
• Willingness to work shifts when required
• Own reliable transport will be advantageous
