Job Overview:

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of SAGE ERP SYSTEM, servers, networks, databases, terminals, and enterprise application systems in the refining and chemical plant; ensuring the stable operation of ERP, MES, LIMS, OA, and other systems; managing account permissions, data backup, information security, IT assets, and system monitoring; providing IT technical support on the production site and handling major emergencies; supporting IT project construction and IT/OT network security management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle the day-to-day operation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the plant's information systems, ensuring IT systems related to production and business run reliably.

• Manage and maintain core IT environments such as servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage, and databases.

• Maintain and troubleshoot the plant's network infrastructure, including LAN, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.

• Support the operation of business systems like SAGE, ERP, MES, LIMS, OA, production management, equipment management, and energy management, and address user issues.

• Work with production, equipment, process, quality, and supply chain departments to analyze system requirements, optimize systems, and improve functions.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, terminals, and software, ensuring proper approval, changes, and deactivation of accounts.

• Handle data backup, recovery, log management, and disaster recovery for information systems, regularly checking backup validity.

• Maintain records for IT assets, servers, network equipment, computers, and related software.

• Oversee information system security, including antivirus, patch updates, access control, vulnerability fixes, and data protection measures.

• Support network security, information security, and related compliance checks, addressing any issues promptly.

• Provide technical support for IT equipment and systems on the production site, including office terminals, printers, industrial computers, servers, and network devices.

• Collaborate with DCS, SCADA, PLC, and other industrial control system teams to provide IT infrastructure support, following strict industrial control safety and production management protocols.

• Prepare, maintain, and archive IT system operation documents, procedures, emergency plans, and fault logs.

• Participate in IT project implementation, including system deployment, equipment selection, testing, launch, acceptance, and vendor coordination.

• Respond to major IT incidents and conduct problem reviews to continuously improve system availability and reliability.

• Complete other information system and IT management tasks assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements

Education

•     Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science and Technology, Information Management, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, Automation, Information Security, or related fields.

•     Experience in IT roles within industrial enterprises—such as petrochemicals, energy, power generation, or manufacturing—is preferred.

Work Experience

•     Over 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure or information system management.

•     Experience in information system O&M (Operations & Maintenance) within oil refining, petrochemical, energy, or large-scale manufacturing enterprises is preferred.

•     Familiarity with industrial production environments and the relationship between IT and OT systems; on-site factory IT support experience is preferred.

Professional Skills

•     Proficiency in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows/Linux servers.

•     Familiarity with network technologies such as TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.

•     Competence in fundamental O&M areas including virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.

•     Familiarity with SQL and at least one mainstream database system (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).

•     Understanding of the basic architecture and O&M workflows of enterprise applications such as ERP, MES, LIMS, and OA.

•     Understanding of the basic principles of industrial control systems (DCS, SCADA, PLC) and IT/OT security boundaries.

•     Familiarity with core information security practices, including account/access management, log auditing, endpoint security, vulnerability management, patch management, and data backup.

•     Ability to use tools for monitoring, log analysis, and remote O&M to diagnose and locate faults.

•     Strong capabilities in fault analysis, problem-solving, and emergency response.

Security and Compliance

•     Strong information security awareness; ability to strictly adhere to corporate policies regarding IT security, data security, and confidentiality.

•     Understanding of cybersecurity requirements for industrial control systems.

•     Ability to execute tasks in accordance with processes for change management, access control, backup/recovery, and emergency management.

•     Relevant certifications or experience in information security, cybersecurity, or ITIL are preferred.

General Competencies

•     Strong sense of responsibility and service orientation; ability to meet IT support requirements within the 24/7 production environment of a refining or petrochemical enterprise.

•     Good communication and coordination skills; ability to collaborate effectively with production, equipment, instrumentation, electrical, process engineering, and management departments.

•     Ability to read technical documentation in English and communicate using basic professional English.

•     Willing to accept necessary arrangements for on-duty shifts, emergency response, and on-site technical support.
