You will work across electrical and mechanical systems, extrusion and forming machinery, planned maintenance, breakdowns and improvement projects—while maintaining the strict BRC compliance standards essential to packaging operations.
Duties / Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults quickly and accurately
- Maintain PVC, PET and styrene extrusion and forming machinery
- Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, VSDs, PLCs and control systems
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
- Inspect machinery, equipment and facility infrastructure
- Assist with projects, planning and drawings for electrical spares
- Participate in standby duties on a roster basis
- Maintain BRC compliance across hazard management, cleaning records, foreign-body controls, glass and brittle-plastic controls, document control and file management
Requirements- 3–6 years’ maintenance experience preferably in a packaging production environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
- Experience with extrusion and forming equipment
- Own reliable transport
- Willingness to work standby and attend call-outs
Education- Matric / NQF Level 4
- Qualified Millwright
- Trade Test / Red Seal certification

Salary- The proposed salary for the role is R25k - R31k basic salary per month - the final offer will depend on qualifications, experience and skills.
