Business Operations Manager

A well-established South African bathroom retailer is looking for a commercially minded Business Operations Manager to strengthen its leadership team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys improving systems, solving problems and keeping multiple departments moving in the same direction. The business combines a national retail footprint, premium product ranges, private-label growth and a strong e-commerce platform.

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day business operations
• Align department heads and improve cross-team communication
• Track performance, accountability and delivery against business goals
• Analyse business data and turn insights into practical actions
• Improve systems, processes and operational efficiency
• Support growth across retail, distribution and e-commerce
• Reduce operational dependency on the owner
• Drive continuous improvement and a high-performance culture

Requirements

• 4 - 6 years' operations or general management experience, preferably in a retail, ecommerce environment
• Experience leading multiple business functions
• Commercial understanding and sound financial awareness
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Proven ability to improve processes and business performance
• Strategic thinker with strong execution skills
• Retail, wholesale, distribution or e-commerce exposure is advantageous
• Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, owner-managed business

Education

• Relevant degree or diploma in Business, Operations, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field

• Mon - Thu 07h00 - 17h00
• Fri 07h00 - 16h00
• Every 2nd Saturday 08h00 - 13h00

Salary
