About the Carbon Intern Position As the Carbon Project Intern, you will be the primary coordinator for daily operations related to the BioLite improved-cookstove initiative.

Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, you will manage the project workplan, liaise with internal teams and external partners, support field rollout activities, and ensure that all distribution and customer data are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives on managing multiple stakeholders and maintaining data integrity in support of commercial and carbon program goals.

Key Responsibilities for Carbon Intern Jobs in Lusaka Project Coordination:

  • Maintain the activity tracker, monitor milestones, document meeting actions, and provide weekly status updates.
  • Coordinate efforts across Commercial, Field, Finance, Logistics, Data/Credit teams, and external partners.
  • Escalate any delays or risks promptly.

Field Rollout Support:

  • Organize product demonstrations, mobilize partners, and oversee carbon marketing and distribution activities in designated areas.
  • Ensure compliance with customer eligibility, consent, location, and documentation protocols.

Data Collection and MRV Support:

  • Capture and verify essential records including customer KYC details, consent forms, GPS or ward information, stove serial numbers, proof of delivery or installation, and monitoring evidence.

Data Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct completeness checks, identify duplicates and outliers, maintain audit trails, and resolve data exceptions within set timelines.

Stock Traceability:

  • Reconcile stove allocations and distributions with warehouse, logistics, partner, and sales records to ensure end-to-end traceability from dispatch to end-user.

Reporting and Assurance:

  • Maintain a dashboard summarizing units distributed, data completeness, exceptions, reconciliations, and milestones.
  • Support field audits and verification requests.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Gather feedback from customers and partners, document lessons learned, and recommend improvements to enhance adoption, data quality, project controls, and delivery efficiency.
  • Candidate Requirements Recent graduate in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Economics, Business, Data, Project Management, Development Studies, or related disciplines.
  • Proficient with Google Sheets, capable of data cleaning, tracker maintenance, and preparing clear summaries.
  • Exposure to carbon markets, MRV, clean cooking technologies, or last-mile distribution is advantageous.
  • Strong sense of ownership, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Comfortable working in field environments and managing diverse teams.
