About the Role:

• Assistant Management Accountant This permanent and pensionable role (ERB Grade 6) reports directly to the Management Accountant.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial management processes across the organisation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in budget monitoring, reporting, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities for Assistant Management Accountant Jobs in Lusaka Support the preparation and consolidation of departmental and ERB-wide budgets.

Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and prepare detailed variance reports. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.

Support income and expenditure reporting activities. Assist with cash-flow monitoring and the effective utilisation of financial resources.

Review accounting entries to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting financial analyses.

Maintain comprehensive management accounting records and assist with financial reporting. Minimum Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 credits.

Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualification, or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA. Paid-up membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).

Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in a finance or accounting environment. Qualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).

Added advantage:

• A Degree in Accountancy or full ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA (CA) certification.
