The University is currently seeking to recruit suitably qualified individuals for the following positions:

1.     IT - LECTURER

Job purpose, Roles and Responsibilities;

The IT Lecturer is responsible for delivering Information Technology courses, assessing and mentoring students, developing course materials, supporting curriculum improvement, participating in research activities, and contributing to academic and administrative functions within the department and university. Additionally, the position involves undertaking administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Dean.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• All academic qualifications must be in the same field of specialization.

 Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in a recognized institution of higher learning.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver lectures and practical laboratory sessions in Information Technology.
• Experience in student supervision and academic mentoring will be an added advantage.
• At least one (1) peer-reviewed publication in a recognized academic journal will be an added advantage

2.     CHIEF LIBRARIAN

Job purpose, Roles and Responsibilities;

The Chief Librarian is responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of the university library, ensuring the effective delivery of library and information services that support teaching, learning, and research. The role involves overseeing library resources, staff, budgets, and digital systems, promoting information literacy, supporting academic excellence, and contributing to institutional planning and administrative functions. Additionally, the position involves undertaking other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science/Library and Information Systems from a reputable university.
• Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science/Library and Information Systems from a reputable university.
• A PhD/Doctorate Degree in Library and Information Science/Library and Information Systems will be an added advantage

Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in a senior library management position.
• Minimum of five (5) peer-reviewed publications in recognized journals.
• Demonstrated experience in managing academic library services, digital library resources, and library staff.
• Proven leadership, administrative, and strategic planning skills in a higher education environment.
