Key Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs through skills assessments and consultations with management.
  • Develop, update, and deliver technical training programmes and materials.
  • Facilitate onboarding and technical training for new employees.
  • Conduct skills audits and maintain employee skills matrices.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Ensure statutory and compliance training requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • Work closely with HR to improve training programmes and ensure compliance.
  • Manage the apprentice development programme and support long-term artisan succession planning.
  • Coach and mentor employees to improve technical competence.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
  • Certified Red Seal Electrician Trade Test.
  • Previous experience at Foreman level or higher.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment maintenance.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems and Continuous Improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
