- Our client in the banking industry is looking for a TCM Data Strategy & AI Transformation Lead. This is a 1 Month engagement, to be based in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced TCM Data Strategy & AI Transformation Lead to define and shape the future-state data landscape for TCM. The role will focus on developing an AI-ready data strategy, improving data integration and governance and enabling advanced analytics, automation and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
The successful candidate will assess the current (“as-is”) data environment and design a future-state data strategy, supported by a phased implementation roadmap that delivers measurable value in the short, medium and long term.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and document the current (“as-is”) TCM data and system landscape, including data inflows and outflows.
- Design a future-state AI-enabled data architecture and strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve data usage, integration, governance and efficiency across systems.
- Define and articulate data strategy options supporting analytics, automation and AI use cases.
- Develop a phased implementation roadmap (short-,medium-and long-term) to transition to the target state.
- Identify and prioritise value-driven use cases to unlock data potential across TCM.
- Ensure alignment between data strategy, business processes, and technology capabilities.
- Provide strategic input into data governance and data management frameworks.
- Support the organisation in building a scalable, sustainable and innovation-driven data ecosystem.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in data strategy, data architecture, or enterprise data transformation.
- Strong understanding of data ecosystems, integration and data flow modelling.
- Experience designing AI-ready or analytics-enabled data environments.
- Knowledge of data governance, data management and data quality frameworks.
- Experience delivering roadmaps and enterprise transformation strategies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills (technical and business).
- Ability to translate complex data environments into clear strategic direction.
