Job Summary
The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining materials, spare parts, tools, and finished products in the factory store. The role ensures accurate inventory records, proper storage practices, and timely availability of materials required for production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Verify quantities and quality of received items against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Store materials properly and maintain an organized warehouse/store area.
- Issue materials to production departments according to approved requests.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock movements in the inventory system.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, overstock, or damaged items.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with periodic inventory audits.
- Ensure all materials are labeled and stored safely.
- Prepare inventory and stock reports as required.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within the store area.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and finance departments regarding inventory matters.
- Follow company policies and health and safety regulations.
