Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage physical stock levels and perform daily
reconciliations between physical floor inventory and the internal Warehouse
Management System (WMS) to maintain absolute data accuracy.
- Organize, conduct, and oversee regular stock
counts (cycle counts and wall-to-wall audits) on the warehouse floor, ensuring
compliance with strict internal inventory accuracy standards.
- Identify and investigate physical stock
discrepancies on the floor, trace inventory transaction histories, and take
immediate corrective action to resolve variances.
- Coordinate with internal warehouse teams
(Receiving, Picking, and Dispatch) to ensure the timely and accurate physical
receipt, processing, and loading of goods.
- Communicate effectively with procurement, sales,
and customer service teams regarding on-site stock availability, localized
delays, and order fulfillment status.
- Monitor and report on internal warehouse KPIs,
including storage capacity utilization, stock rotation (FIFO), inventory
turnover trends, and shrinkage.
- Implement, execute, and enforce standard stock
control procedures across the warehouse floor to ensure seamless tracking,
proper material handling, and operational compliance.
Qualification
& Competencies:
- HSC or relevant qualification in Logistics.
- Minimum 2 years experience in stock control and
inventory management.
- Excellent knowledge of inventory management
principles and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good
communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient with inventory management software
and Microsoft Office (Excel, word).
- Attention
to detail and accuracy in recording data.
- Should be team player, creative, proactive,
resourceful and demonstrate professionalism.
- Physically
fit to handle warehouse tasks.
- Be
honest, punctual and reliable.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Should be ready to work odd hours and during week-ends/public holidays.
