Service & Sales Engineer

About the Opportunity
An established international company is seeking a motivated and technically competent Service & Sales Engineer to join its growing team. This role combines technical service, customer support, and business development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on engineering and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventive maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment.

Promote and sell maintenance contracts and one-off maintenance services to existing and prospective clients.

Develop sales of spare parts for industrial equipment and machinery.

Conduct equipment demonstrations at customer premises and during product presentations.

Promote equipment, technical solutions, and consumable products in line with the company's commercial strategy.

Prepare detailed technical reports following service interventions and customer visits.

Produce regular reports on maintenance contract and spare parts sales activities.

Process purchase orders for spare parts and coordinate with international suppliers.

Utilize technical systems and online platforms to support service operations and project implementation.

Participate in inventory and stock control activities.

Ensure accurate administrative follow-up, including customer service records and outstanding accounts.

Travel across Mauritius and the Indian Ocean region to provide technical support and customer service when required.
Profile
-
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Previous experience in industrial equipment maintenance, field service, or technical support.

Experience in technical sales or business development would be a strong advantage.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Customer-oriented with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Well-organized, proactive, and capable of working independently.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and technical software/ERP systems.

Valid driving licence.

Willingness to travel regularly within Mauritius and the Indian Ocean region.
