Sensor Integration & Industrial Bus Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Install and wire the 7-part inline cooling sensor matrix: PT100 RTD temperature probes, flow meters, differential pressure transducers, and flexible rope leak-detection circuits 
• Install ATS position monitoring contacts, generator diesel fuel level sensors, and UPS telemetry output interfaces 
• Configure edge PLCs and map raw sensor register values from RS485/Modbus RTU and BACnet/IP devices into the PLC memory map 
• Produce and maintain the Modbus register map document — every sensor address, data type, engineering unit, scaling factor, and alarm threshold 
• Configure and maintain the Modbus-to-MQTT translation bridge, converting PLC register values into structured MQTT JSON payloads for the EMQX broker 
• Conduct periodic leak detection circuit tests and verify ATS and generator telemetry pipelines. 

Requirements:

• A minimum of an HND in electrical/electronic engineering, Instrumentation & Control or mechatronics
• Minimum 2–3 years hands-on experience in industrial instrumentation process control, BMS or industrial automation
• Direct experience installing and wiring physical sensors: temperature probes flow meters, pressure transducers or leak detection systems
• Practical experience configuring PLCs and mapping Modbus RTU or BACnet/IP device registers
• Familiarity with RS485 wiring topology termination resistor placement and Modbus network debugging
• Competent with hand tools and test equipment: multimeter, cable tester, clamp meter or process calibrator

Nice to Have:

• Experience with MQTT message brokers (EMQX, Mosquitto) and JSON payload formatting ( can be trained on the job)
• Exposure to glycol cooling systems chilled water plant or data centre precision cooling equipment
• Familiarity with ATS wiring and generator control panel interfaces
• Experience with IIoT gateway configuration
• Knowledge of building management system (BMS) integration at the Modbus/BACnet layer.
