GJ Halcyon Company Ltd is recruiting a Senior Welder with advanced expertise to lead welding operations and mentor junior technicians. You’ll handle complex fabrication, structural welding, and quality control on industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret complex technical drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication specs
- Perform high-precision MIG, TIG, and arc welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys
- Lead weld quality checks and ensure all work meets AWS/BS EN standards
- Cut, grind, and prepare heavy metal components for welding
- Train and supervise junior welders and apprentices
- Maintain welding equipment and enforce strict safety compliance
- Troubleshoot welding defects and recommend corrective actions
Requirements:
- Trade Test I Certificate + minimum 3 years proven welding experience
- Proven track record on structural, pipe, or heavy fabrication projects
- Certification in MIG, TIG, ARC welding. 6G pipe welding certification is an advantage
- Ability to read blueprints and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and safety-first mindset
- Physically fit to work at heights and in confined spaces
