Job description

The Zambia Law Development Commission (ZLDC), a statutory body established under the Zambia Law Development Commission Act, Chapter 32 of the Laws of Zambia, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambians.

Job Purpose

To undertake applied research to support evidence-based recommendations for law reform.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Undertake applied research to inform evidence-based recommendations for law reform.
  • Design and lead stakeholder engagement and consultation activities relevant to law reform initiatives.
  • Undertake post-legislative review work focusing on implementation and practical impact of legislation.
  • Supervise Research Officers and manage delivery of assigned outputs.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate.
  • Bachelor of Arts Degree or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years post-qualification experience in legal research or policy analysis.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in a formal supervisory role.
