Job purpose:

Seeking a dynamic finance professional to play a key role within the financial team. This role will focus on analyzing financial data, providing actionable insights, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. This role will support informed decision-making and contribute to the overall financial health and efficiency of the division.

Key Accountability Areas

• Financial reporting: Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (Full IFRS). In addition, monthly divisional management accounts.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns and supporting monthly reconciliations.
• Audit Support: Assist with the preparation of the necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with budgets and financial forecasts.
• Internal Controls: Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
• Corporate Governance: Assist with board meeting agenda, resolutions and minutes of meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance i.e. BCom Accounting or related.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
• Minimum of 5 years’ senior accountant experience, preferably within the fruit packing industry.
