Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets, conversion ratios, and key performance indicators.
- Engage with prospective clients through qualified leads and allocated marketing campaigns.
- Maximise sales opportunities through effective lead management and consultative selling techniques.
- Conduct comprehensive financial needs and risk analyses to recommend suitable short-term insurance solutions.
- Ensure clients meet underwriting and insurability requirements before concluding sales.
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across the product range.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, products, and underwriting requirements.
Client Relationship Management
- Deliver an exceptional Red Carpet Experience to high-net-worth clients.
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships.
- Manage all allocated leads and client follow-ups within agreed service levels.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and confidential communication throughout the sales journey.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with FAIS, FICA, POPIA, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, and all applicable legislation.
- Complete compliant Records of Advice (ROA) for every policy sold.
- Adhere to internal sales processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
Quality & Performance
- Maintain required monthly Quality Assurance scores.
- Implement QA feedback and remediation actions within required turnaround times.
- Effectively manage your sales pipeline and CRM system.
- Maintain productivity, attendance, and adherence to scheduled working hours.
- Participate actively in coaching, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Contribution
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Attend team meetings, coaching sessions, and training programmes.
- Identify and escalate operational risks where necessary.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- FAIS-recognised qualification (NQF Level 4 or higher) meeting Fit and Proper requirements.
- RE5 Representative (Essential).
- Class of Business (COB) certification where applicable.
- CPD requirements maintained in accordance with FSCA regulations.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years' proven sales experience within the short-term insurance industry.
- 2–5 years' experience selling Personal Lines insurance products.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience servicing high-net-worth clients will be highly advantageous.
- Broker-based sales experience will be advantageous.
