We are looking for an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our team.
You will be the technical backbone of our service delivery, responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment at client sites. Equipment will range from walk-in cold rooms and display cabinets to ice machines and QSR kitchen refrigeration systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Refrigeration Technician, you will:
Install, service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration equipment for QSR, supermarket and general commercial clients.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigerant-circuit faults efficiently and accurately.
Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
Respond promptly and professionally to breakdown call-outs.
Handle refrigerants safely and in accordance with appropriate procedures.
Complete accurate job cards, maintenance records and service reports.
Communicate professionally with clients regarding faults, repairs and equipment requirements.
Identify required spare parts and coordinate or place parts orders.
Provide supervision, technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate should have:
3–5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration.
A recognised Trade Certificate or qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Solid working knowledge of refrigerants, refrigeration systems and electrical controls.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
A valid driver's licence.
Willingness to participate in a call-out roster when required.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
