Employment Information

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that every customer order is properly planned, scheduled, tracked and coordinated from production commencement through completion and delivery.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager, Head of Operations, Production Manager, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service and Logistics teams to ensure projects move according to plan, potential delays are identified early, and delivery commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly project and production schedules based on confirmed customer orders and delivery timelines.
  • Track all active projects from production commencement through completion, quality approval and handover for delivery.
  • Establish clear milestones and deadlines for each project and monitor performance against them.
  • Prioritise projects based on delivery commitments, resource availability, production capacity and business priorities.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to track execution against agreed production plans.
  • Monitor project timelines and identify delays, bottlenecks, dependencies and risks before they affect delivery.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to track material readiness against approved Bills of Materials and project timelines.
  • Liaise with Production, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service and Logistics to ensure information and activities are properly coordinated across departments.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, trackers, status reports and records using the company’s project management software.
  • Conduct daily project and production follow-up meetings and ensure agreed actions are assigned and followed through.
  • Escalate delays, unresolved dependencies and risks to management promptly.
  • Coordinate changes to project timelines or specifications and ensure affected departments are properly informed.
  • Track projects through required quality-control stages and ensure the necessary approvals are completed before delivery.
  • Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports on project status, delays, completion rates and overall delivery performance.
  • Identify recurring operational bottlenecks and recommend practical improvements to processes and workflows.
  • Ensure projects are executed in line with company processes, approved specifications and delivery commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Project Management, Operations Management, Production Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in project management, project coordination, production planning or operations within a manufacturing or similarly operational environment.
  • Furniture manufacturing, interior fit-out, construction, joinery or related industry experience is an advantage.
  • Strong project planning, scheduling and coordination skills.
  • Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, follow-up and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management software.
  • Ability to identify risks early, escalate appropriately and drive issues to resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
