Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage engineering activities across all disciplines Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and execution in line with approved timelines and budgets.
  • Review engineering deliverables drawings, datasheets, specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Interface with EPC contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on status, risks, and performance.
  • Assist in procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE Health, Safety & Environment standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support construction, installation, and commissioning activities on-site.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical, or chemical plant projects.
  • Experience working in EPC project environments is preferred.
  • Exposure to construction and commissioning phases is an added advantage.

Certifications:

  • Project Management certification e.g., PMP is an advantage.
  • Membership in a professional engineering body e.g., COREN, NSE is an added advantage.

Functional Skills:

  • Strong understanding of chemical plant processes and systems.
  • Knowledge of project management principles planning, scheduling, cost control.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings PFDs, P&IDs, layouts.
  • Familiarity with EPC project execution methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement and contract management.
  • Proficiency in project management tools e.g., MS Project, Primavera is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of HSE standards and industrial regulations.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills Excel, PowerPoint.
