The Opportunity

Hobbiton is seeking a highly driven, execution-focused, and commercially sharp Product Commercial Lead – Savings & Investments to drive the commercial success of our savings and investment products, Patumba and VLSA.

Based at our Kitwe Office and reporting to the Head of Commercial, this role is ideal for a results-oriented professional who thrives on growing revenue, building sales pipelines, closing deals, and driving customer adoption across both individual (B2C) and group/institutional (B2B) markets.

What You Will Do

Revenue Growth

• Own and deliver revenue targets for Patumba and VLSA.
• Build, manage, and convert qualified sales pipelines.
• Close B2C, B2B, and partnership opportunities.
• Drive customer retention, upselling, and cross-selling initiatives.

Customer Growth

• Drive onboarding and activation of individual customers.
• Grow adoption among savings groups, investment clubs, and institutions.
• Improve customer engagement, repeat usage, and retention.
• Understand customer behaviour and identify opportunities for growth.

Go-to-Market Execution

• Execute product-specific go-to-market strategies.
• Support product launches, pilots, and market initiatives.
• Test and optimise customer acquisition channels.
• Work closely with Marketing on campaigns and product positioning.

Partnerships & Collaboration

• Develop and manage strategic distribution partnerships.
• Monitor partner performance and commercial outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Customer Support teams to improve customer experience and product performance.

Success Metrics

• Revenue growth across both products.
• Pipeline value and conversion.
• Customer onboarding and activation rates.
• Growth in institutional and group customers.
• Customer retention and repeat usage.
• Quality of commercial insights influencing product improvements.

Requirements

• Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Product Management, or a related field.
• 4–7 years' experience in sales, business development, growth, or commercial roles.
• Demonstrated experience driving both B2C and B2B growth.
• Proven ability to achieve revenue targets and close commercial deals.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and identify growth opportunities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong ownership mindset with a focus on execution and results.
• Experience within fintech, financial services, or technology-driven environments will be an added advantage.
