Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and delivery of database, data warehouse, and business intelligence solutions
Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
Design logical and physical data models, ETL processes, and metadata repositories
Develop and maintain enterprise database models and architecture standards
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and data teams
Audit and optimise database performance, ETL processes, and data integration solutions
Champion best practices, governance standards, and emerging technologies within the data environment
Support innovation initiatives through the evaluation and adoption of new technologies
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's Degree advantageous)
Experience:
Minimum 8–10 years' experience in database engineering, data warehousing, business intelligence, or data architecture
Proven experience leading enterprise data initiatives and technical teams
Experience designing large-scale data integration and reporting solutions
Technical Skills:
Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development
Oracle Database (19c or later), Oracle Exadata, and SQL Developer
Data modelling and data warehouse architecture
ETL development using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
Relational database tuning and performance optimisation
Oracle Golden Gate and replication technologies
Business Intelligence and metadata development
Python scripting, Spark, and REST API integrations
Advantageous:
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, or modern cloud data platforms
Experience supporting AI-driven data and analytics initiatives
Additional Requirements:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Excellent organisational and project prioritisation abilities
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technical direction
