Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Dispense prescription medications to patients and ensure proper dosage and administration
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
- Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients
- Manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and ensure proper storage conditions
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and policies
- Maintain patient records and document medication therapy outcomes
Preferred Pharmacist Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharm Technology from a recognized institution
- Experience working in a busy Pharmacy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education
- Registered Pharmacist with Pharmacy & Poisons Board of Kenya
- Knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions
- Proficiency in medication management and dispensing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
