Education and Experience:
- Grade 12/Matric
- MERSETA recognized qualification
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience, preferably in a franchise dealership environment
- Experience with Hyundai or similar brands will be advantageous
- Computer literate
- Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic ability
- Experience in the use of OEM diagnostic tools
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on vehicles according to manufacturer standards
- Conduct accurate diagnostics on mechanical and electrical faults using OEM diagnostic tools
- Repair and replace faulty components, including engine, transmission, braking, and electrical systems
- Carry out vehicle inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes and meets quality standards
- Maintain detailed and accurate job cards and service records
- Test drive vehicles where necessary to confirm faults and ensure successful repairs
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and additional repair needs
- Stay up to date with the latest technical developments, especially related to similar brands
- Assist team members when required and contribute to a positive workshop environment
- Ensure tools and diagnostic equipment are properly used and maintained
- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship
