Requirements:
Diploma in a relevant field.
Completion of a Trade Test.
3 years' relevant heavy industry experience after diploma.
Good spoken and written English.
Computer skills.
Experience with installation and troubleshooting.
Ability to read engineering drawings, manuals and instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Install, inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, compressors, gearboxes, motors, piping systems and rotating machinery.
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective troubleshooting to minimise equipment downtime.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, schematics and maintenance instructions to perform maintenance tasks accurately.
Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, defects, leaks, misalignment, vibration and other potential equipment failures.
Replace or repair defective mechanical components using appropriate tools and equipment.
Assist with plant shutdowns, commissioning and equipment start-up actvities.
