Job Description:
- Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing on concrete, composite, and steel materials
- Prepare, cast, cure, and manage test specimens in accordance with industry standards
- Assist engineering teams with prototype assembly and structural load testing
- Accurately record, analyse, and report test results to support product development and quality assurance
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory testing equipment to ensure reliable performance
- Manage laboratory materials, consumables, and inventory while maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workspace
Skills & Experience: - Minimum of 3–5 years' hands-on experience in a construction materials or engineering testing laboratory
- Strong understanding of SANS, ASTM, and/or ISO testing standards
- Proven experience operating materials testing equipment and interpreting test data
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with fibre-reinforced concrete, composite materials, or hydraulic testing equipment will be highly advantageous
Qualification:- National Diploma, BTech, or BSc in Civil Engineering, Materials Science
