Purpose of Role:
Lead the strategic development and execution of water and wastewater business initiatives across Africa by managing customer relationships, technical solutions, and project and tender activities. Strengthen collaboration with global and regional teams while improving internal processes and delivering technical training to internal and external stakeholders. Drive market growth through focused research, customer engagement, and continuous improvement to expand the Client’s presence across municipal, industrial, and consulting sectors. In addition to these functions, you are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required. Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement a market strategy for Water, Wastewater and Irrigation in line with objectives.
  • Engage with key customers and stakeholders to drive business growth, understand needs and improve solutions.
  • Lead and manage water and wastewater projects across Africa, including technical interfaces.
  • Promote the Client’s equipment and solutions to end users, consultants, municipalities, and contractors.
  • Lead the tender process and manage consortium agreements to secure major project contracts.
  • Mentor and develop internal teams, providing training and setting clear performance objectives.
  • Monitor competition and conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Comply with and enforce all the Client’s policies and procedures.
 
Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
 
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project and tender management within the Client’s market sectors, particularly in Water and Wastewater.
  • Strong knowledge of pump technologies, including centrifugal and submersible pumps.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic systems, including flow, pressure, head, and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with applications across industries such as water treatment, mining, chemicals, and energy.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse performance curves, technical datasheets and engineering specifications
  • Practical knowledge of installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of pump systems.
  • Proficiency in SAP and C4C.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
