Our client, a well-established company in the Automation Industry, is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior PLC Programmer to join their growing team
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
- 3+ years' PLC programming experience
- Good knowledge of Siemens PLCs (S7, TIA Portal, WinCC)
- Understanding of industrial automation and control systems
- Experience with HMI and SCADA systems will be advantageous
- Valid passport
- Willing and able to travel extensively throughout Africa
- Valid driver's license
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control system documentation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
Duties:
- Assist with PLC and HMI programming and development
- Commissioning and troubleshooting of automation systems
- Support senior engineers during project implementation
- Perform site visits, installations, and system upgrades
- Provide technical support to clients
- Ensure projects are completed according to specifications and deadlines
