Role: IT Systems & Technology Administrator
Location: Gansbaai, Western Cape
Salary: R 23 000 - R30 000
Your role
You'll be responsible for:
- Supporting desktops, laptops, servers, printers, mobile devices and other IT hardware.
- Maintaining Microsoft Office, Windows, Apple (macOS), email systems and remote access solutions.
- Providing day-to-day technical support to users across multiple business operations.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, networking and connectivity issues.
- Managing user accounts, permissions and software licensing.
- Maintaining network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity.
- Implementing cybersecurity best practices and ensuring business continuity through effective backup and recovery processes.
- Supporting CCTV systems, attendance systems, point-of-sale equipment and other operational technologies.
- Maintaining and supporting business-critical systems, including accounting, reservation and operational software.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and maximise the value of technology investments.
- Maintaining accurate IT asset registers, documentation and supplier records.
- Prioritising support requests while managing multiple projects across the organisation.
Technology you'll be working with
You'll be supporting a diverse technology environment, including:
- Microsoft Office and Windows environments
- Apple macOS, iPhones and NAS servers
- Google Workspace, Google Drive and Google Sheets
- Adobe applications
- Pastel, Xero and SimplePay
- SAPAAD point-of-sale
- Activitar and NightsBridge reservation platforms
- IronTree backup solutions
We're also embracing AI technologies such as ChatGPT and Claude and are looking for someone who can help us identify practical opportunities to optimise processes and improve the way we work.
What we're looking for
We're interested in practical expertise as much as formal qualifications.
You'll ideally have:
- At least five years' experience in IT support, systems administration and infrastructure maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft and Apple environments.
- Experience supporting a broad range of business systems and software.
- A sound understanding of networking, cybersecurity and data protection.
- The confidence to work independently and take ownership of the IT function.
- A valid driver's licence and the willingness to travel between business sites when required.
