Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Officer to oversee inventory management within a fast-paced retail and distribution environment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring stock movements, maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting stock reconciliations, and ensuring optimal inventory levels across the business.
- The ideal candidate should be self-driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and possess hands-on experience using RetailMan software and Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across all stock locations.
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory.
- Conduct routine stock counts and periodic inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend timely replenishment to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Generate inventory reports using RetailMan software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions and stock movements.
- Work closely with the procurement, warehouse, and operations teams to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and company policies.
- Perform other inventory-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Inventory Officer.
- Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Proficiency in RetailMan software is mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail or distribution environment.
- Willingness to reside in the company's shared staff accommodation.
