We are seeking a Information Management Officer (IMO) to join our team. This role involves overseeing the collection, management, analysis, and dissemination of data and information to support program planning, decision-making, monitoring, and reporting processes. The position requires working in a dynamic environment with a focus on data quality, system maintenance, and the production of comprehensive information products for diverse stakeholders.
Missions:
- Design, develop, and maintain databases, information systems, and data collection tools to ensure efficient data handling.
- Guarantee accurate, timely, and secure data collection, storage, and retrieval processes in compliance with organizational standards.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance activities to uphold data integrity.
- Create and implement standardized procedures and protocols for data management and information systems.
- Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, support evidence-based decision-making, and inform program strategies.
- Generate and present regular reports, dashboards, infographics, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
- Prepare detailed situation reports, donor reports, and management updates to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Develop and maintain various information products such as maps, charts, and data visualizations, including GIS maps when necessary.
- Coordinate with program teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection and verification.
- Provide technical support and training on data collection tools and information management systems to staff and partners.
- Support assessments, surveys, and research activities by providing data management and analysis expertise.
- Participate actively in coordination meetings, information-sharing forums, and collaborative efforts to enhance data use and information sharing.
- Ensure compliance with organizational data protection policies, maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Implement data backup, recovery, and security procedures to safeguard organizational data assets.

Qualifications and Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Geography, Monitoring & Evaluation, or a related field.
- Typically requires 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in data management, analysis, or monitoring and evaluation roles.
- Experience working with humanitarian, development, government, or research organizations is advantageous.
- Strong data analysis and statistical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level for data manipulation and analysis.
