Key Responsibilities
Pallet Control & Tracking
- Take full responsibility and accountability for pallet control and management within the warehouse and at customer sites nationally.
- Maintain and update pallet details for all customers on the database.
- Perform daily capturing and reconciliation of pallet movements to and from customers and depots.
- Track pallets de-hired off the pallet account and resolve outstanding pallet issues and stock variances.
- Conduct a daily reconciliation of physical pallets, pallets in warehouse, pallets in transit, and pallets received.
- Perform weekly stocktakes of pallets to ensure accurate and efficient control.
- Present weekly physical pallet reconciliation reports to management.
Customer & Account Management- Ensure accurate Customer Record Cards are maintained as hard copies and made available when required.
- Conduct weekly and monthly reconciliation of pallet costs and counts to eliminate pallet losses.
- Liaise regularly with customers regarding pallet recoveries.
- Reconcile the pallet account to portfolio and resolve all outstanding queries to prevent excessive costs on the pallet account.
- Manage the collection of pallets from customers effectively and timeously.
- Raise queries for any incorrect charges identified on the pallet account.
Documentation & Reporting- Ensure all documents are verified, updated daily, and distributed to relevant departments timeously.
- Effectively control and manage pallet costs and minimise pallet losses.
- Collaborate with teammates to maximise efficiencies and implement best practice.
Qualifications & Experience - Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Experience with Sage (essential).
- Exposure to pallet management, stock control, or logistics administration (advantageous).
