Human Resource Intern

Department: Human Resources

Reporting To: HR Officer

Purpose of the Role

To support the Human Resources Department with contract administration, employee records management, and general HR administrative functions while gaining practical workplace experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, issuing, and renewing employee contracts.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the ERP/HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • File and archive HR documents such as contracts, letters, and personnel files (both physical and electronic).
  • Track contract expiry dates and support timely renewals.
  • Assist with on-boarding documentation for new employees.
  • Support HR officers with basic payroll inputs and employee data verification where required.
  • Respond to basic employee queries and direct them appropriately.
  • Assist with HR reports, data entry, and audits of employee files.
  • Support general HR administrative tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate (With English and Mathematics)
  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HR processes and employment contracts.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in MS Word and Excel; ERP/HRIS exposure is an added advantage.
