Role Description:

The Human Resources Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja. This role supports daily HR operations, including maintaining employee records, updating HR databases and HRIS, and assisting with the preparation of HR documents such as contracts, letters, and reports. The HR Assistant will help coordinate recruitment activities, schedule interviews, support onboarding and orientation of new team members, and assist with training logistics. Responsibilities also include helping administer employee benefits, tracking leave and attendance, and responding to routine HR-related inquiries. The role will ensure compliance, filing compliance reports to relevant authorities, policy implementation, and HR initiatives that support employee engagement and organizational efficiency.

  • Strong foundational skills in Human Resources HR and HR Management, with the ability to support core HR processes and policies.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems HRIS and basic HR data entry, reporting, and record management.
  • Knowledge of Benefits Administration, including assisting with enrollments, updates, and employee queries on benefits and leave.
  • Ability to support Training activities, including scheduling sessions, coordinating materials and maintaining training records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools e.g., MS Office or Google Workspace and comfort working with spreadsheets and documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and to interact professionally with people at all levels.
  • ensure compliance with relevant authorities and filing compliance report. 
  • Preferred: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and prior experience in an HR or administrative support role.
