Purpose of the Role:

  • An HR generalist in healthcare is responsible for a wide range of duties including full-cycle recruitment, managing employee credentials and compliance with healthcare regulations, handling benefits and leave, supporting employee relations, and assisting with onboarding and performance management. This role requires a strong understanding of both standard HR practices and the unique compliance and staffing demands of the healthcare industry, and ensuring the organization adheres to federal, state, and local employment laws.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening resumes, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Performance management: Support the performance review process and help create employee development plans to foster growth.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and support a positive work environment through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Administer employee benefits, manage payroll processing, and handle compensation and leave administration.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies through record-keeping and policy implementation.
  • Training & Development: Coordinate and support employee training programs and performance management processes.
  • Record Keeping & Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records physical and electronic, including vacation and sick leave, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Project Management: Work with external HR or other consultants on special projects as needed and support the management team providing HR guidance when appropriate.

Skills, Education and Experience Required

Experience

  • 5 -7 years’ experience as an HR generalist, preferably within the healthcare sector, manufacturing, or consulting is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience with ATS and HRIS systems.
  • A professional certification like CIPM is required.
