Description

  • Our client, a leading manufacturer of construction chemicals and building solutions, is seeking an experienced Factory Operations Manager to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for driving production efficiency, maintaining high quality and safety standards, optimizing plant performance, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Candidates must have a proven track record in the construction chemicals, building materials, or related manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all factory operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and operational objectives are achieved.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, improve process efficiency, and optimize manufacturing costs.
  • Oversee production planning, inventory management, and resource allocation to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environment HSE, quality, and regulatory standards across all plant operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to deliver high performance.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, prepare management reports, and implement corrective actions to improve plant performance.
  • Collaborate with senior management to support business growth, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • 8 - 10 years' experience in manufacturing within the construction industry
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior factory, plant, or operations management role.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, process manufacturing, industrial automation, quality systems, and maintenance management.
  • Proven experience managing factory operations, production budgets, cross-functional teams, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
