Manufacturing Environment (Factory-based role)
Contract: 1 Year Fixed term contract with 3 months probation (possibility of permanency based on performance)
Job Purpose:
The Factory Finance Bookkeeper will be responsible for supporting the finance function within a manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate financial processing, inventory control, compliance, and timely reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail and hands-on experience with accounting and operational finance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review factory expenses and process daily payments and SAP (B1) entries
• Verify import customs clearance documentation and support inventory processing with the supply chain team
• Prepare sales invoices for export customers and support customer payment tracking and credit control
• Assist with inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure proper inventory disposal processes are followed
• Manage foreign exchange processes including supplier payments and coordination of forward/spot contracts with finance management
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, consumption tax declarations, and NRCS/LEVY submissions accurately and on time
• Compile monthly cash flow budgets
• Complete month-end closing by the 1st of each month, including balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow reporting
• Support annual audit preparation and requirements
• Perform other finance and administrative duties as required
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance / Bookkeeping (or related qualification)
• Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance role (manufacturing experience preferred)
• Experience working with SAP (B1) or similar ERP system advantageous
• Strong understanding of inventory, VAT, and financial reporting processes
• High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced factory or production environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
