Job Summary

  • The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the uninterrupted, safe, and efficient operation of all electrical systems, power distribution networks, and automated machinery across the pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
  • This role involves preventive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting of production line electrical faults, managing high-tension HT and low-tension LT power supply systems, and ensuring strict compliance with both NigeriaElectrical Standards and pharmaceutmical GMP Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
Plant Maintenance & Power Distribution:

  • Uninterrupted Power Supply: Oversee and maintain HT/LT power distribution, transformers, Diesel Generator DG sets, and high-capacity UPS systems to ensure zero power fluctuations on sensitive production lines.
  • Breakdown & Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and execute preventive and predictive maintenance of manufacturing machinery e.g., compounding vessels, rapid mixer granulators, tablet presses, blister packing machines, and HVAC systems.
  • Utility Operations: Manage electrical systems for plant utilities including boilers, water purification plants Purified Water/Water for Injection systems, and effluent treatment plants ETP.

Compliance, Safety & Documentation:

  • GMP/cGMP Adherence: Ensure all electrical modifications or maintenance work complies with sterile/non-sterile pharmaceutical environment protocols cleanroom protocols.
  • Engineering Documentation: Maintain accurate, audit-ready engineering records, including electrical drawings SLA/SLD, equipment history cards, preventative maintenance checklists, and change control logs.
  • Local Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with the Central Electricity Authority CEA regulations and Madhya Pradesh state electricity board standards.

Required Education & Experience

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Experience:

  • For B.Tech: 3 to 6 years of experience in a pharmaceutical formulation sterile or solid dosage or chemical manufacturing facility.
  • For B.Techholders: 5 to 8 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
