Day Production Foreman – Raw House

Zambia Sugar Plc invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates. Reporting to the Process Engineer – Raw House, the successful candidate will enforce SHERQ and food-safety standards in the Raw House.

Key Performance Areas

• Identify and implement SHERQ and food-safety improvements and drive zero-harm behavioural change.

• Implement boiling-house recovery improvements through a hands-on approach.

• Serve as operations lead in the Focused Improvement Team and deliver FIT platform outcomes.

• Resolve escalated production bottlenecks and maintain continuity of improvement work.

• Review SOPs and work with Learning and Development to train operators.

• Review KPI boards, work instructions, log sheets and dashboards for standards compliance.

• Conduct MOP audits, close gaps and review backend performance trends and improvement plans.

• Implement prototypes and new standards and onboard operatives.

• Identify team learning needs and coordinate training.

• Inspect critical equipment and maintain adequate stocks of critical consumables.

• Conduct HACCP and HIRA reviews and coordinate scheduled operational maintenance.

• Implement group best practices and close external and internal audit findings.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 Certificate.

• Preferably a Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology or equivalent.

• Preferably 5+ years’ experience in sugar-industry backend operations.

• Preferably 2+ years’ supervisory experience.

• Training in Sugar Technology with pan-boiling experience is an added advantage.

• Certificates must be verified by ZAQA.
