About the Role – Communications Intern Jobs in Lusaka This full-time internship is based at Alinea’s office and provides hands-on experience in internal and external communications.
The Communications Intern will play a key role in producing engaging content, managing digital platforms, and assisting with multimedia production to strengthen the organisation’s narrative and donor engagement.
Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Storytelling:
Research and craft human-interest and impact stories; conduct interviews; develop social media content, articles, newsletters, and press materials; maintain a content calendar; and edit communications.

Qualifications and Experience Candidates should have obtained a Bachelor’s degree within the last two years in Communications, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
Experience gained through internships, volunteer work, freelancing, or university projects is highly valued. Prior exposure to the conservation or development sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.

Working Arrangements and Development This full-time internship operates Monday to Friday during standard office hours at Alinea’s Lusaka office. Occasional travel and after-hours work may be required for events.
The intern will receive ongoing supervision, structured feedback, and opportunities to develop skills across storytelling, digital media, donor communications, multimedia production, and graphic design. Exceptional performers may be considered for advancement to a Communications Officer role.
Desirable Attributes Preference will be given to applicants who can present a portfolio showcasing published writing, human-interest or digital storytelling, graphic design, photography, and/or videography work.
