Cathlab Nurse (Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory) — Papua New Guinea

We are recruiting an experienced Cathlab Nurse for an exciting international placement based in Papua New Guinea. This is a rare opportunity to take your cardiac nursing career international, working within a fully equipped cardiac catheterisation laboratory in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will work directly alongside cardiologists, providing skilled nursing support during interventional cardiology procedures in a well-resourced hospital environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Scrub and circulate during cardiac catheterisation procedures, including coronary angiography and PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
• Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures including pacemaker insertions and electrophysiology studies
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring throughout procedures and respond to changes in patient status
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation and analgesia during procedures
• Prepare and maintain the cath lab environment, equipment, and sterile fields
• Manage and operate contrast injectors, fluoroscopy equipment, and haemodynamic monitoring systems
• Monitor and manage patients during pre-procedure, intra-procedure and recovery phases
• Accurately document all procedural details and patient responses
• Manage cath lab stock, consumables, and equipment maintenance schedules
