Automotive Workshop Quality Controller - Bryanston

Employment Information

Duties include

  • Conduct road tests on completed vehicles to verify quality of workmanship
  • Ensure all work carried out aligns with job card instructions
  • Sign off job cards once satisfied all repairs are completed correctly
  • Identify and report failed road tests, liaising with Foreman and Technicians for resolution
  • Assist with pre-workshop vehicle inspections and customer road tests
  • Support service reception with quick turnaround “waiting” repairs
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and oversee cleaning staff
  • Ensure efficient operation of wash bay and manage wash bay staff
  • Monitor trends in failed road tests and provide feedback to Service Manager
  • Assist with vehicle movements (workshop, wash bay, parking, collections)
  • Prepare loan vehicles for customer use
  • Attend minor breakdowns when required
  • Work across departments to ensure seamless aftersales service delivery
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is accurately completed
  • Network, promote and ensure activities are in line with focus to retail new cars
  • Communicate with Sales Manager for innovative concepts to improve sales and customer base
  • Develop and implement effective sales plans to stay ahead of competitors to ensure increased market share and new vehicle sales and profitability (1st & 2nd Gross)
  • Build and maintain customer relationships by ensuring the highest level of customer care,
Requirements:
  • Must have min 6 years proven Automotive aftersales experience at a franchise dealership – premium brand takes preference
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Qualified red seal technician 
  • Experience within a high-volume premium brand advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
  • Self and Target Driven
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and customers
  • Hands on, proacative approach in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilience and the ability to work under pressure
  • PC Literate
  • Valid Drivers License
