Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, identifying operational risks, and recommending improvements to strengthen business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and periodic internal audits across business units.
  • Review financial records, transactions, and operational processes for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Identify areas of financial and operational risk and provide practical solutions.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
  • Investigate discrepancies, irregularities, and cases of fraud where necessary.
  • Perform physical verification of company assets and inventory.
  • Support management in strengthening governance and risk management practices.

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification ACA, ACCA, CIA, or ICAN is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Accounting, or Risk Management.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is an added advantage.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of auditing standards and internal control procedures.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to  work independently and meet deadlines.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel between business locations when required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong ethical standards and professional judgment.
  • Candidates residing in Lagos or willing to relocate will have an added advantage.
