Assistant Management Couple – Luxury Hotel & Spa – Port St. Johns, Eastern Cape Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a strong Assistant Management Couple to join a well-established, family-focused coastal property on the Wild Coast on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This hands-on, service-driven couple will support the General Managers in the day-to-day running of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth operational management throughout the contract period. Salary: Negotiable DOE Live-in position Key Responsibilities: • Oversee day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences • Support and inspire department teams to maintain high service standards • Assist in implementing and maintaining efficient operational procedures • Champion a guest-centric culture across all areas of the property • Manage guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally • Ensure compliance with financial protocols, labour legislation, and administrative requirements • Work closely with the General Managers to ensure smooth seasonal operations • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment • Build strong relationships with local suppliers, fishermen, and artisans Requirements: • Proven stable work history within the hospitality industry • A complementary couple with strong experience across F&B management, Front Office/Reservations, and Housekeeping • Minimum 5 years’ senior hotel or resort management experience • Strong operational and guest-focused mindset • Excellent team leadership and communication skills • Solid financial and labour legislation knowledge • Strong administrative and organisational ability • Hotel school qualification advantageous • South African citizenship or valid work permits • Contactable references from previous employers • Comfortable living and working in a remote coastal location • Availability to commit to a 12-month contract period • Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays • Hands-on involvement in the day-to-day running of a busy resort environment • Ability to engage respectfully with a close-knit rural community and participate in relevant community initiatives • Professional, adaptable, and positive ambassadors for the property both on and off-site
