You will also analyze, plan, and implement small to medium-sized improvements to machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities for Air Conditioning Technician Jobs in Kitwe Service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems on Sandvik mobile equipment.
Plan and execute improvements on machines, escalating to major upgrades when necessary. Coordinate parts ordering in collaboration with supervisors and warehouse personnel.
Lead contractor activities related to HVAC systems when required. Perform preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and document outcomes including root cause analysis and improvements.
Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures, quality standards, and cleanliness protocols. Communicate operational status and deviations clearly to relevant stakeholders.
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards consistent with 5S methodology. Participate in training sessions and actively pursue continuous personal and operational development.
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications Craft Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent; Advanced Certificate is advantageous. Completed secondary education (Grade 12 certificate).
Membership with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) is mandatory. Minimum of five years’ hands-on experience working with air conditioning systems in mobile equipment.
Valid unrestricted driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience. Skills and Attributes Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems and components.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.
